These Terms of Service govern your use of Agrinvas Mlimi Cloud, including our website, marketplace, weather tools, AI-assisted pest diagnosis, market intelligence, community forum, reports, notifications, and related services.
By accessing or using Agrinvas, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
1. About Agrinvas
Agrinvas is an agricultural technology platform designed to support farmers, traders, agronomists, and agricultural stakeholders. The platform provides digital tools for:
- market price information and market intelligence;
- weather forecasts and agricultural weather guidance;
- AI-assisted pest and disease support;
- product listing and marketplace access;
- community discussions and knowledge sharing;
- newsletters, reports, alerts, and expert support.
Agrinvas is a decision-support platform. It does not replace professional agronomic, veterinary, financial, legal, or government advice.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
To use some features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:
- provide accurate information;
- keep your login details secure;
- choose the correct role, such as Farmer, Trader, or Agronomist;
- update your account information when needed;
- notify Agrinvas if you suspect unauthorized access.
Users under 18 should use Agrinvas with permission from a parent, guardian, teacher, or responsible adult.
Agrinvas may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, misuse the platform, or violate these Terms.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Agrinvas to:
- post false, misleading, illegal, harmful, abusive, or discriminatory content;
- upload harmful files, malware, or unauthorized scripts;
- impersonate another person or organization;
- manipulate marketplace prices, reviews, likes, or community interactions;
- harass, threaten, or exploit other users;
- share dangerous farming instructions or unsafe chemical advice;
- scrape, copy, or reverse engineer the platform without permission;
- interfere with the security or operation of Agrinvas.
We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these rules.
4. Marketplace Terms
Agrinvas provides a digital space where sellers can list agricultural products and buyers can discover them. Unless clearly stated otherwise, Agrinvas is not the seller, buyer, transporter, inspector, or payment processor in transactions between users.
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that product listings are accurate, including:
- product name;
- quantity;
- unit of measurement;
- price;
- location;
- harvest date;
- product quality;
- availability status;
- contact information.
Buyers are responsible for verifying product quality, quantity, price, delivery arrangements, and payment terms before completing a transaction.
Agrinvas may remove listings that appear fraudulent, expired, misleading, duplicated, unsafe, or unlawful.
5. Market Price and Intelligence Disclaimer
Agrinvas provides market prices, trends, alerts, and AI-assisted market insights based on available data sources. Market information may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or affected by source availability, scraping errors, reporting delays, or market changes.
Market recommendations are provided for information and decision support only. Agrinvas does not guarantee that users will obtain a specific price, profit, buyer, or market outcome.
6. Weather and Climate Information Disclaimer
Weather forecasts, soil moisture estimates, evapotranspiration values, UV index, planting-window recommendations, and irrigation suggestions are provided for agricultural decision support.
Weather data can change quickly and may not fully reflect conditions on an individual farm. Users should combine Agrinvas weather information with local observation, extension officer advice, and safe farming practices.
Agrinvas is not responsible for crop loss, financial loss, or other damage caused by reliance on weather forecasts or recommendations.
7. AI Pest Diagnosis and Farming Advice Disclaimer
Agrinvas may provide AI-assisted pest and disease diagnosis based on crop images, symptoms, crop type, and available agricultural knowledge. AI results are estimates, not guaranteed diagnoses.
Accuracy may depend on:
- image quality;
- crop condition;
- symptom description;
- lighting;
- disease stage;
- local pest pressure;
- availability of training data.
Users should confirm serious crop problems with an agronomist, extension officer, or qualified agricultural expert before applying treatments, especially chemical treatments.
Agrinvas is not responsible for crop loss, yield loss, chemical misuse, or financial loss resulting from reliance on AI-generated advice.
8. Community Forum Rules
The Agrinvas community is intended for respectful knowledge sharing among farmers, agronomists, traders, and agricultural stakeholders.
Users are responsible for their posts, replies, and shared content. Agrinvas may moderate, edit, hide, or remove content that is harmful, abusive, misleading, spam, unsafe, or unrelated to agriculture.
Community advice is user-generated and may not always be verified. Users should apply judgment before acting on community recommendations.
9. Reports, Alerts, and Notifications
Agrinvas may provide reports, newsletters, alerts, SMS, email, push notifications, or in-platform messages. These are provided for convenience and may depend on internet access, device settings, third-party services, and data availability.
Agrinvas does not guarantee that alerts will always be delivered on time or without interruption.
10. User Content and Intellectual Property
You keep ownership of content you create or upload, such as product listings, community posts, images, and comments. By posting content on Agrinvas, you grant Agrinvas permission to host, display, process, translate, analyze, and share that content as needed to provide the platform services.
You must not upload content that you do not have the right to use.
Agrinvas owns or licenses the platform design, software, branding, documentation, data structures, analytics, and original content created by Agrinvas. You may not copy, sell, or reproduce Agrinvas materials without permission.
11. Third-Party Services and Data Sources
Agrinvas may rely on third-party services for weather data, mapping, satellite data, pest diagnosis support, market data, hosting, email, notifications, and analytics. These services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Agrinvas is not responsible for failures, delays, inaccuracies, or policy changes from third-party providers.
12. Service Availability
We aim to keep Agrinvas available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The platform may be unavailable due to maintenance, network problems, hosting issues, software updates, data source failures, cyber incidents, or events beyond our control.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Agrinvas is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or financial losses arising from use of the platform, including crop loss, lost profits, failed transactions, market changes, incorrect advice, delayed alerts, or service interruption.
Agrinvas provides tools and information to support decisions, but users remain responsible for final farming, trading, treatment, and business decisions.
14. Account Suspension and Termination
Agrinvas may suspend or terminate access if a user:
- violates these Terms;
- posts harmful or illegal content;
- misuses marketplace features;
- attempts to compromise platform security;
- provides false information;
- engages in fraud, spam, or abuse.
Users may request account deletion by contacting Agrinvas support.
15. Changes to These Terms
Agrinvas may update these Terms as the platform develops or as legal, technical, or operational needs change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of Agrinvas after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
